Job Description We are looking to add to our Survey group with the addition of a Survey Technician. Our ideal candidate for this role would be someone looking to advance their career and grow in their path to eventual licensure as an RPLS. A Bachelor''s degree is not required for this position, but the ideal candidate would be pursuing a degree or be willing to pursue a degree. This position will be dynamic in that responsibilities will vary from day to day and will include: GPS and conventional data processing, deed mapping, boundary analysis under the direction of an RPLS, interfacing with field crews, creating stakeouts for field crews, some AutoCAD drafting with the support of our drafting team, and the possibility of site visits, among other task. The work we do is primarily in the Oil and Gas industry and will vary but normally be related to pipeline routes, Oil and Gas facilities, and other sub-disciplines. Previous oil and gas experience is not a requirement, but we would like to see previous survey experience, ideally both field and office experience. Opportunities for travel and extra effort will exist, usually as a part of field assignments/working on a field survey crew. Candidate Specification Relevant skills and abilities:
. Knowledge and understanding on field procedures and practices
. Ability to process field data using Trimble Business Center a plus.
. Working knowledge of Carlson Survey/ AutoCAD experience a plus.
. S.I.T. Certification a plus
. Strong work ethic and team- player attitude.
. Strong technical, documentation, and organizational skills
